After looking for a job in this insanely tough economic crisis has been kind of a blow to the ego. With a great GPA from a really great school, I finally got what I had perceived to be 'a great job opportunity'. When I went to the interview I saw mainly attractive young females. There were a lot of people being interviewed but I was determine to make my personality shine over all of them. The interview was kind of vague enough, and being naive, it never crossed my mind to really research them other than their website. When I got a call back from them a few hours later, I was told by Dereck (the receptionist who seemed great and honest, but I now question his authenticity) 'I must have made a great impression because they wanted me to come back tomorrow for a second interview'. Being that I am so ready to get back working in NYC, I was like a puppy, all excited for the second interview. When I got home, my Dad was kind of suspicious about the whole company. And after his suspicions i decided to google the company to get some information from them. I figured the second interview would be to get a better idea of the company but when I was told to wear comfortable shoes because I would be walking from 945-6 pm... I figured something was a little fishy. I googled them and could not find one positive website about them except for their own. I decided to call up this morning and make sure to let them know that i researched them and decided that I would not go on to the second interview. I felt so stupid and dooped, but at the same time was relieved I avoided the blistered feet, and the humiliation of actually going on the second interview. So in conclusion, I thank everyone on this website for posting this. I may be a hot single recent grad, but I' deserve way more.
