Nothing that this company has checked out to be accurate in any way.

First, they advertise bogus bios and pics in local craigslist adds. It's a bait-and-switch. If that instructor isn't working for Best Buy, the counselor (telemarketer salesman) will tell you, "Oh I am so sorry but that teacher is filled up but I have someone "certified" to be just as good or better and the Best Buy near you."

They pass themselves off as making lessons "safer" just because they retail a $15 background check to all of their teachers for more than triple retail $49. MUSIC LESSONS ARE ALREADY SAFE! Their claim is like taking credit for the sky not falling.

Takelessons.com definition of "high standards" is "cheap." is like that crooked dealer who deals from the bottom of the deck. They tell the customer that TL teachers are from the "top 5% who maintain their high standards" when in fact, only about 5% of teachers will accept their low pay of around $20 per hour WHILE CHARGING STUDENTS $69 per hour and stealing the difference.

There is only ONE THING THAT TAKELESSONS.COM does well; They are masters of the LIE! They do not "bend the truth." They do not exaggerate. THEY LIE and they go the full distance to the point where no matter how much you try to understate their criminal tactics, it will STILL sound like an exaggeration.

BEST ADVICE FOR THE STUDENT WHO WANTS TO AVOID BEING RIPPED OFF BY THE LIKES OF TAKELESSONS (AND THERE ARE MANY): NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER SIGN UP FOR LESSONS WITH A FACILITY OR A SALESMAN WITHOUT TALKING DIRECTLY TO THE TEACHER THEMSELVES. PERIOD! NO EXCEPTIONS!

IF YOU GO TO A STORE AND THEY SAY THAT YOU HAVE TO SIGN UP AND PAY IN ADVANCE TO TALK TO THE TEACHER, PUNCH THEM OUT! THEY ARE TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF.
