Smartsavingscenter.com Fraudulent internet book sales tricks you into joining their 'club' for a charge - Boca Raton Florida Navigation: Main page Author: Chris I purchased a book online from this company. I did not notice the cleverly hidden small print that includes a complimentary one month membership in their club. After the one month, they charge you for the membership. I noticed the membership in the confirmation email, and immediately got online and cancelled my membership. After a month, they started charging my bank account (the same way I paid for the book - check card) $1 a month for the membership. I called and talked to a person (who spoke very well, and in english) and told them the issue and asked that it be resolved. He said he would, and said they would credit my account back. I did see the credit on my bank account statement, within about 7 days. He did not cancel my membership. I continue to be charged, and just received an email stating that the fee is going up to $2 a month. I will next contact my bank and the US Attorney General.
