Smart Style WalMart Salons Blow Dry Rip-Off Navigation: Main page Author: Jean I went in to Smart Style in Spencer, Iowa for a simple 12.95 haircut, which I've been getting there for more than 2 years. After the stylist, Diana, trimmed my hair, which took no more than 8 minutes, she started blow drying my hair. I didn't think anything about it. I didn't ASK her to blow dry my hair, she didn't ask me if I wanted it dried, and she certainly didn't tell me it would cost extra for this. But this time, when I went to pay my bill, it was $17.05. I asked why it was so much. She informed me that it was extra to blow-dry my hair. In the 2 years I've been going there this has never happened before, and it was very sneaky of her to pad the bill that way. I paid it, but wish now I'd made my complaint on the spot.
