We purchased GAP coverage on our new vehicle we purchased back in Wisconsin. 3 months after we purchased it the car was in a wreck and was a total loss. Everything is paid off excpet for about $240. We've been in contact with our main insurance carrier, the GAP/GPP provider, the lender and the dealership. Everyone points the finger at each other and quotes a specific clause in their contract to back up their claims for not paying. Buyer beware of purchasing this coverage from Russ Darrow. They did not even know all the finer points about this policy and did not disclose any "watch-outs". The coverage was sold as "covering everything the regular insurance does not cover at the time of total loss. NOT a true statement. I would stay clear of Russ Darrow for any purchases. Now, the big companies have won and like always the consumer gets stuck with the bill. Not professional at all.
