Merchant Services USA will set a appointment for a 'bank representative' to come to your place of business - acting as if they are a nationwide company. Then a 'scheduling supervisor' will call to confirm the appointment - then proceed to sell you on the idea that by avoiding sending out the rep (that didn't even exist in the first place) its your lucky day they have 'GREAT NEWS ' for you! Merchant Services USA's 'corporate office' will set you up 'AT COST' which will consist of selling you a used Verifone T460 credit card machine for $297.00 (TRUE COST $50.00). There rates are competitive; 1.39% for Debit and 1.64% for Credit and .19 transaction fee. However, They will only fax or e-mail you half the paperwork to sign - the other half will consist of the other fees not disclosed to you. Bottom line - you will be charged double the fees quoted! Quoted $9.00 monthly service charge - will be charged $9.00 by Merchant Services USA and $9.00 by Wood forest National Bank who they process thru. Quoted $59.00 annual fee - will be charged $59.00 by Merchant Services USA and $59.00 by Wood Forest National Bank in the 4th month of service. Quoted a 1 year contract - is a 2 year contract.
