Marc Anthony Russo![]() Navigation: Main page Author: Anonymous We were looking for a vacation rental apartment in NYC and contacted Marc Russo via Craigs List in October 2005 (a while ago, but we are visiting NYC again next week, from UK, so I thought I would check him out again). He wanted a 50% deposit so we wired him, in the name of James Franklin, $857.50. Stupid I know! The apartment was 179 Essex Street, NYC for 26th May to 3rd June 2006. On 2nd May 2006 'John Stewart' sent me an email saying the apartment was unavailable due to a flood and contact was needed in order to refund the deposit. Despite numerous emails, we never got the money back. Mrac was always 'away' and would send it when he had checked his records. I did track an email of his to Manassas, VA, and tracked down his associate Brian Thompson, (238 West 4th Street) who sent me an abusive email. Nasty people, I hope they get prosecuted.
