For the last 2 weeks I've been recieving harrassing phone calls from Everest Assest Management, an employee Lea Troy. She said I have a debt from a bank that I owe but I explained that the account was closed 4 yrs ago and I shouldn't owe anything. And Lea accused me of 'racking up $700 or more in borrowed money' I explained, 'I didn't borrow money and I'm sick and tired of her callling me everyday about it.' I yelled at her and she yelled at me back while speaking over the phone. I asked how she got my phone number and she didn't say much but she said through the bank with my social security number and I tried to get the company name and address but she refused and said, 'it was irralevent.' I told her I couldn't pay anybody and that I was unemployeed. And then she asked me if I was living with anyone like a friend or family. I said, 'I am living with my husband.' She asked if he works and if he was full-time and I said he worked part-time. I insisted that I needed it so I can settle the situation going on but she still kept on raising her voice at me rambeling on about my debt. So I just hung up on her. A few minutes later I called back the company to talk to someone else so I could get the address. I spoke to an operator and asked if I could get the company address, he then asked for my name and my account number. I gave him a different name because I was afraid and didn't want anyone to know who I was. He said he would pull up the information while he was on the phone with me, then he put me on hold for a couple of minutes. He came back on the phone and asked me why I needed it. I explained that I needed to mail the company some information, but he still didn't give me the address and tried to ask me questions about who I was. So I finally hung up. Then a few minutes later, I receive a message through my voice mail on the phone from Lea again. She said, 'I will call you everyday as long as the law permits.' I was really upset about it and called my family about the situation.
