MY 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER OPENED AN ACCOUNT WITH COLONIAL,SHE JUST TURNED 18. SHE WAS GONE FOR 2 WEEKS & WHEN SHE RETURNED AND OPENED MAIL FOUND A LETTER SAYING OVERDRAWN FOR MORE THAN 25 DAYS & HAD BEEN SENT TO COLLECTIONS. WE WENT TO THE BANK TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED.SHE HAD BEEN LAYED OFF PRIOR TO THAT FROM HER JOB AND HAD TAKEN ALL SHE HAD IN ACCT. FOR GAS,AND HAD NOT USED THE ACCOUNT SINCE. SHE WAS OVERDRAWN BY 8 CENTS! WITH SEVEN DOLLARS ADDED EVERY DAY, NOW SHE OWES THEM $237.08 THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING TO HELP.oNE OF THE BRANCH MANGERS @ DIFFERENT LOCATION SAID THEY WERE TAKING EVERY DIME THEY COULD FROM WHEREVER THEY COULD. THEY ARE SENDING IT TO THE CREDIT AGENCIES AND SHE WILL BE FLAGGED AS A CHARGE OFF, BECAUSE AS OF TODAY IT HAS BEEN 31 DAYS, THE LIMIT. SHES 18 TRYING TO ESTABLISH CREDIT AND NOW COLONIAL IS RUINNING HER OVER 8 CENTS!!!!!! AND SAID SORRY THERES NOTHING WE CAN DO IT WASN'T A BANK ERROR.BULL*&&%^ AMSOUTH ALWAYS WORKED WITH ME ON O/D FEES, IN $300 & $400 DON'T USE COLONIAL THEY ARE NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTED PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD "FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS BANK @ COLONIAL"
