Anderson Crenshaw Associates ABUSIVE

My tenant had an alarm put on his home and then defaulted on the payments. It went to collections and showed up on my credit report, apparantly because I'm the owner of the home. When I called Anderson Crenshaw and calmly tried to find out how and why this happened and how to resolve it I was met with downright verbal abuse. My head was swimming I was so confused by their attitude and extreme rudeness. I guess being a collection agency they expect abuse so immediately jump on the offensive, but their treatment of me while I was basically on a fact finding mission was inexcusable. When I asked to get information on the original contract holder to try and find out how I became responsible for this bill they said they didn't have that information and could not help me. My only option was to pay the bill myself. They said if I did it would be taken off of my credit report but refused to give me anything in writing to guarantee that. I was transferred to an even ruder supervisor, which I couldn't believe was possible, who said they were not a 'literary company' and therefore couldn't send me the letter I was requesting. Without allowing me to say another word she said, 'have a nice day' and abruptly hung up on me.
