ACS SCAM Navigation: Main page Author: Steve Beckstead I received a phone call from a guy named Mike Walter, he said they were filing a writ with the court that included check fraud, theft by deception wire fraud. he said that an officer of the court is going to come to my house, arrest me and take me to court. He told me I had to write all of my bank information on a letter he dictated to me over the phone and I had to have a notary and a copy of my drivers license with picture attached and that I had only 24 hours to submit this along with a payment plan to make the necessary payments. I was called a dead beat and a bad person, this guy has an accent so strong I could hardly understand what he was saying. When I asked them to send me or email me a copy of this complaint he refused and said it was against the law, I asked for verification of the account he said was past due and he refused to send that to me as well. I have received 3 different phone calls from this company and they have given me 3 different amounts due. The account is just barely 30 days past due a 300 dollar bill and they are saying that the new balance is $1,000.00. one said 975.99 and the other 875 dollars. I closed my account and have reported this information to the attorney Generals office in my state.
